Descriptions, Theories and Criticisms of the Audio-lingual Approach

This article presents a review of descriptions and theories of learning as well as procedures of teaching of the Audio-lingual Approach. It also includes a critical evaluation in terms of its perceived effectiveness for facilitating foreign language learning presented by different authors.
